CHRISTMAS!!! (a day late)

Christmas morning was FUN!
Everyone got up at the crack of dawn and ran downstairs (okay, more like slumped downstairs) to open stockings and presents! Jay was dressed as Santa, Nana had bought him a little velour santa suit complete with matching hat (which didn't fit his big ol head)...he was too cute! He loved to chew on the packages and play with the paper. He could have cared less what was inside! LOL!
He got a lot of cool stuff...including a PILE of books, a leapfrog for babies, some blocks, some little people and... Another Fisher Price Learning Puppy (he now has two)!
Here are some pics of my little Santa...
Isn't that hat a little too small? He was cute none the less!

:)

Cousins...(pics)

Here's a sweet pic of Jay and his two cousins Mackenzie & Hailee on Christmas Eve...we got all dressed up and went to church.

More Pictures of Christmas Fun!

Here are some pictures of little Jay the night before Christmas in front of the tree in his sweet little Rudolph the Reindeer pajamas. He was such a little jolly boy! :)

Merry Christmas Everyone!

LOOK WHAT I GOT!

YAY!
On top of doing Christmas tonight, we did my birthday too...so I got some cool gifts. Money, a sweet Fossil watch with switchable wrist bands and... ooooh, video tapes...they must go with:

MY NEW CAMCORDER...SWEET!Unfortunately, I'm a doofus and didn't get any pictures of myself with the camera, but it's in that box...and it's SWEET. THANKS MOM & DAD!

Jay's *first* First Christmas

Tonight we had our family Christmas with the whole clan!
Jay was a little aprehensive at first because he wasn't sure what everyone was doing, and he wasn't sure about all the bright colours and flashing lights (cameras and stuff)...but he soon got right into it, ripping all of his gifts and chewing on everything he got his hands onto. Jay with his great-grandfather (Opa-squared...)
BIG GIFT!

Love all the papers...so cool!
Fisher Price Learning Puppy! YAY!
Jay LOVES this thing
Mommy and baby...
BIG SMILES!
Uh, are we done yet?

Tonight we're doing Christmas...

I'll make sure I post some pictures of this evening & all the festivities!
We're doing Christmas a few days early only because Chris, Jay and myself are heading down to Michigan tomorrow morning to spend 'actual' Christmas day with Poppa Jay, Nana Jo and the rest of the family!

Jay got a chance to open a present early...like this past Friday night!
He got his first present from Uncle Rolf and Auntie Carys...and like I said before, they SPECIFICALLY instructed that he was to open it before Christmas.

Six Months Ago Today...

Jay Connor was born!
June 20th, 2005 at 11:35pm
7 pounds, 9 ounces
18 inches long!

It's so hard to believe it's been SIX months!
My baby boy has grown in leaps and bounds, every day there is something new to learn, and I'm so happy to be able to show him all these things and be there with him every step of the way!

A few pics of Jay when he was *brand new* Jay Connor, just minutes after he was born
One day old!
Getting ready to come home from the hospital on June 23rd...only 3 days old.

Playing with Daddy

Just a few pictures of Jay and Chris playing and cuddling!

I was playing around with Photoshop...

I'm not very good at photoshop...at least I USED to be pretty good at it...but I was 'schooled' on Photoshop 5...and now this is Photoshop CS2! There are SO MANY new toys now!

I love this pic of Jay at the piano, and I've just been playing around with the contrast, the levels and of course I greyscaled it...it's kinda cool...I think I'm happy with it :)

TRYING to crawl

Me and My Boy

As we were hanging out on the floor, I decided I wanted to take a few pictures of Jay and I together...Chris was nowhere to be found, so I did the self-portrait thing...this is how it turned out: Yay! Cute little picture...though I think I have food stuck in my teeth...yikes!
Jay trying to strangle me...he kept smacking me with his arm
Silly picture, I think I was anticipating the flash to go off a little later...
You can tell that little mister man is getting a little bored with all of these pictures
And this one is just priceless because of the look on his face...as if he's thinking "oh brother mama, cut it out..."

Candid Family Pics!

Tonight we played on the floor with Jay, listened to some nice Christmas music and just hung out as a family...I took a zillion pictures of everything and nothing because I just do that :)

Jay opened his first gift tonight from Aunt Carys & Uncle Rolf (they specifically instructed we open it before Christmas anyway). It was soooo cute, he was much too interested in the wrapping paper than anything else. I'll post pictures of that later.

So we took a minute out from the 'fun' to try and take some family shots with the timer on the camera...this is what we got: CHEEEEEEEEEEESEUh...pay attention people!
Cute, but Jay is staring at me and not the camera
Last attempt...Jay didn't want to look at the camera, I guess I'm too interesting.

:)

Ugh...SNOW

Ugh.
Look at all that snow.
Last night we were 'supposed' to have been hit with not one, but TWO blizzards that joined together and we were supposed to get pelted with almost 3 feet of snow.
Well, even though this looks nasty, it's NOTHING. The storms indeed joined together, but they kind of went right past us without much of a fuss. Driving home yesterday was NOT fun, the winds were nasty and the roads were slick, but this morning everything is all covered and nothing like we expected...or what we were bracing for. The house...
The left side of the street...looking down Corsica Avenue
The right side (nice to see the plows did their job...HA!)

My brave brave hubby getting ready to shovel and salt the driveway!
THANKS HONEY!

Sing Us a Song, You're the Piano Man...

Sing us a song tonight. Cuz we're all in the mood for a melody, and you've got us feelin' alright.

Jay sat down with Opa at the big piano and they made beautiful *music* together

My little Mozart in the making...hey, you NEVER know :)
